In general terms, the condominium corporation maintains the common elements, such as main drains, risers, shut-offs serving more than one unit, and the mechanical room, while unit owners are responsible for fixtures and pipes that serve only their unit. The corporation's declaration sets the exact line, and it varies between buildings.
